This comedy is a completely true and accurate account of the 1599 plague of London, written by John Heimbuch. Backstage at the Globe Playhouse while Henry V is coming to an end we see Will Kemp, a resentful clown and Francis Bacon, a wealthy lawyer pitching an idea to Shakespeare who is trying to defend his current work. Everything comes to a halt when the costumer, Kate, is savagely bitten by a plague ridden madman. The Globe is placed on lockdown while the survivors must fight for their lives. Will they survive? Is there a cure? How will they know it’s safe?
